Dulux Home Matt Acrylic Emulsion is one of high class product from ICI. It is the acrylic emulsion with is 100% Acrylic. It has high concentration, thick, and easy to painting. The color is well capture with the surface. It can be used with brush, roller brush or spray. It can be paint without primer except the wall that have high alkaline or high salty. Dulux Home Matt is effectively resistance to mold, fungus and alkaline. Consequently, it is suitable for interior decoration, especially the work of brick, mortar and to glaze the room obstruct wall. The color are well capture, smooth and beautiful. There are various color for you to select.

For the best result, valuable and long lasting, please follow procedure.

First,prepare the surface of wood.

Second, paint the primer colour.

Thirdly, paint topcoat colour.

Before painting, clean the surface first. Make sure that the surface doesn’t has dirt, fat oil, mold, lichen and rust. If the original wall decay, it must be clean first to clean up the original colour. If it broke or brittle, it should be fix before clean.

Primer is colour that use over every kinds of surface. Paint primer colour before paint topcoat (Exterior). This support the topcoat colour to attach with the surface well.

Cement surface, the primer colour will support the topcoat colour and not easy to slip off.

New Cement surface, undercoat with Dulux Acrylic Alkali Resisting Primer No.1050

Old Cement surface, undercoat with Dulux Maseal Masonry Sealer No.A200-743

Wood surface, undercoat with Dulux Aluminium Wood Primer No.3697, this could protect latex or wood chemical solution not to leak and mix with topcoat colour and help to save topcoat colour. It’s better to use Dulux Speed Undercoat No.A543-101 paints over Dulux Aluminium Wood Primer No.3697 one more time. This is to adjust wood surface to be smooth and add the beauty for topcoat colour.

Metal surface, Primer colour help prevent rust and support attach of topcoat colour. Undercoat with Dulux Anticorrosive Red Metal Primer No.A540-560 or Dulux Red Oxide Metal Primer No.A540-066 or Dulux Grey Green Metal Primer No.A540-330.

Topcoat colour (Exterior) has various categorized of colour. Normally there are 2 types, which are emulsion and enamel, which have different condition:

Water colour (Emulsion) :
- For painting cement surface.
- Callous and semi gloss colour.
- Fast dry approximately 20 minutes to 1 hour.
- The smell not too strong.
- Dissolve substance is water.

Enamel :
- For painting wood or metal surface.
- The colour is quite gloss.
- Slowly dry approximately at lease 6 hours.
- Strong smell.
- Dissolve substance is oil or Thinner.
Emulsion and Enamel can be separated to two types, exterior and interior colour. The exterior colour is durable. For interior colour, its give smooths, beautiful and easy to clean. Painting topcoat colour should be done twice by leave the first paint until dry then paint over it again.
